Sitting back, relaxed and reclined,
Reflecting over past moments in time,
Past joys, past pains,
Proudest moments, deepest shames,
It has been proclaimed by some that life is a game,
But, if that is so,
Then where is the gain?
Endless moments and endless hoping as pleasure follows pain,
And pain then follows pleasure, almost with equal measure,
Days grow into months and turn into years yet I can still remember...
It was only the briefest of times,
Precious seconds that my mind will always claim to be mine,
Was it the look in her eyes which hid the faintest of smiles?
Could it have been my imagination's disguise as the chance meeting passed us by?
And drifted off into time, So I took it as a sign,
For I promised to keep it forever safe, this memory of mine.
For if life is indeed a game, then please allow me to claim those precious moments so golden that allow me to shine.
Precious Moments
