THE COMPLETE WARNER BROS. RECORDINGS (1968-1992) boxed set. And you can see him do in the LIVE ON THE SUNSET STRIP film, whic...

Re: One of these things is not like the other....

<t>smjmcomic,<br/> Sadly, only Otis Williams and Dennis Edwards (the latter of whom replaced David Ruffin in 1968) are still alive from the group's line-up until through 1971--which is the period when they had the vast majority of their hits. I had the pleasure of meeting the Temps' bass singer, Mel...

JTF,
Yeah, I know about Elbridge Bryant of the pre-David Ruffin Temps. I meant the "original" Temps once they started having hits. I'm impressed that you knew about him.

Re: looking for record released 1978 - 1981

<t>Visitor,<br/> All of the stuff you mentioned was released on albums issued by Laff Records during Richard's '70s-'80s heyday, even though it was recorded between 1966 and 1972. Some of the Laff albums were reissued on CD during the mid-'90s, but they are now out-of-print. The best of it (includin...

A Message From Bill Maher To George W.

<t>Mr. President, this job can't be fun for you any more. There's no more money to spend--you used up all of that. You can't start another war because you used up the army. And now, darn the luck, the rest of your term has become the Bush family nightmare: helping poor people. Listen to your Mom. Th...

Re: dude, you funny motherfucka

darren in japan,
Pryor's 1974 album was THAT NIGGER'S CRAZY, featuring such bits as "Nigger With A Seizure," "Have Your Ass Home By 11:00," "Exorcist," "Wino Dealing With Dracula," and "Wino & Junkie." Is that the one?

Re: Question for Jennifer

<t>PryorBruce,<br/> From having listened to and studied hours upon hours of Richard's stand-up gigs over the years, it seems to have been a mixture of prepared material, which he would sometimes hone, fine-tune, and reshape over the course of several years, and improv. Even with the prepared stuff, ...
